Discharged!

Benji has recovered so well from his second surgery that the team at UF felt comfortable enough to discharge him this morning -- barely five days post-op! We are BLOWN AWAY and so immensely grateful. We KNOW that God has been gracious to answer the prayers of so many who have been praying. Join us in thanking Him for His kindness!

We also want to thank the amazing team at Shands for their help and care each step of the way. If any of you are reading this, you are rockstars and heroes.

Lastly, we thank YOU for your prayers and support. We have been so touched by everyone's thoughts and prayers.

We will be staying local to Gainesville for a few more days to monitor Benji and make sure he doesn't need readmission for any reason. But we are confident we will be heading home very soon! His at-home recovery will be 4-6 weeks, and then we are told things 'normalize' for a while until his third operation. Keep praying for his recovery, and for our perseverance in these coming weeks.
