When I think of the word pastor, the first person that comes to mind is Chuck Rustin.

In church circles, October is recognized as Pastor Appreciation Month. This year, I had the idea to post throughout the month to publicly recognize certain pastors who have personally impacted me, which I intend to do. I have no problem appreciating pastors, yet encouragement to honor also calls for discernment. To honor pastors, we first need to consider what the term pastor means.
