Fool’s Masquerade

You did not hear when we cried fire

You danced on landmines and live wires

You ignored the mirror your Maker made

Now you’re a jester in Lady fools masquerade

You laughed and hid your vile heart

You served up poisoned lies, ala carte

You feared and fed the beast called Coward

You never grew up and moved only backward

As our cries fade, as we go silent

The more carnage you leave, so noxious, so violent

Why dance in her city, dead and decaying

Reap rotting fruit, with your life you’ll be paying?

For

That is the price when Wicked Lady Folly hosts

Will, your life be hers, with your blood will she toast?
