Even They

Symphonies, Songs, Rhythm , and Rhyme

Strings, notes, and sounds blending together

Romancing my soul, stirring me up only to leave me wanting

Colors absorbed on a white canvas

Shapes, textures, hues, and dimensions

Testifying boldly of beauty that leaves my eyes sparkling in wonder

But only for a moment

They too leave me wanting

Conversations sweet and smooth like honey

Dipping my heart in the soothing warmth of relationship

Connection making me taste and see that though you are good,

You are a mist fading away, leaving me wanting

Why is satisfaction as fleeting as a daydream?

Why does beauty always leave me wanting more?

If it is not music or art

If not connection to another soul

Tell me then, what beauty is there to satisfy my hungry soul?

Throw off the lie that this is it.

The climax of my existence

the crescendo to my song

Stop Be Still and Know

He is Beauty

He does satisfy.
